Elon Musk took a dig at “paper newspapers” in a Twitter post on Tuesday.

“My son, Saxon, was amazed that so many paper newspapers are still produced every day. He said they probably just search the Internet & print it out. Yup, with rare exception, that is *actually* what they do haha,” the Tesla CEO wrote.

The latest tweet got approval from many of his followers who agreed with what Musk’s 16-year-old son said.

“That’s a great point by Saxon. On average each newspaper kills one tree which means if we can convert one person to reading the news online, that’s one tree saved,” one user commented.

Another added: “The average American consumes the equivalent of five pounds of paper a day. This is enough paper to wrap around the earth’s equator three times. If the entire world’s population consumed only the amount of paper used by the average American, we’d have to clear all.”

Musk and Twitter are currently embroiled in a court fight with the latter seeking an order directing the Tesla CEO to close their deal at $54.20 per share. Twitter’s stock ended Tuesday trading at $42.09, up 1.4%.

They are scheduled to go trial starting Oct. 17 in Wilmington, in Delaware’s Court of Chancery.

In April, Musk – the world’s richest man– agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion but later started complaining the number of bot accounts was much higher than Twitter’s estimate of less than 5% of users.

A Twitter lawyer told a judge Tuesday that Musk’s review of accounts by his advisers did not back up his allegation that the number of fake users was “wildly higher” than 5% as he claimed when he said he was ending the takeover deal in July.
