India come to the 2nd T20I vs England after winning the series opener in a perfect fashion – by 10 wickets. Now, Rohit Sharma and co will look to seal the three-match affair at the Lord’s Stadium, London on Thursday.

Jasprit Bumrah’s career-best 6/19 in ODIs restricted England to their lowest 50-over total vs India – 110. Mohammed Shami returned with three wickets and Prasidh Krishna got Moeen Ali’s precious scalp. It was a pure Rohit Sharma show then. The Indian skipper combined with opener Shikhar Dhawan to chase the target within 20 overs.

Heading into the second game of the series, India might add Virat Kohli to the playing 11. The former captain was out of the Oval game with a groin niggle. He is enduring a prolonged bad patch and it is still not clear if he is fit for the second game.

However, getting Kohli in means either Suryakumar Yadav or Shreyas Iyer might have to make way.

“I wasn’t playing in the last T20 game and he (Kohli) didn’t play today (Tuesday). I don’t have an update on his injury,” was all that first match’s hero Jasprit Bumrah said when asked about former skipper’s availability for the second game.

The big England stars, Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow, returned to white-ball side in the first ODI. However, the batting show was a big disappointment.

The Lord’s has traditionally been a batting belter but when it comes to rookie bowlers like Prasidh Krishna, it will also be about adjusting to the famous slope of the Lord’s ground.
