The ICC T20I World Cup 2022 starting from October 16 is going to enchant cricketing fans world-wide.

The upcoming tournament will be a fest of cricket as the best players gather in Australia to battle it out in the shortest format of the sport.

The competition will have over 45 T20Is from October 16th-November 13th with the final scheduled to take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Australia won last year and are one of the favorites to win this year’s edition. The hosts are expected to receive tough competition from teams such as Pakistan, India, England and South Africa.

1. Bhanuka Rajapaksa(Sri Lanka)

In the previous edition of ICC Men’s T20I World Cup, Bhanuka Rajapaksa showed his worth when he played superbly against Bangladesh.

He continued his good form in the Asia Cup 2022 where he amassed 191 runs at an average of 47.75. He is a big match player and proved his stance when he knocked Pakistan in the final to clinch the Asia Cup with his superb 71-run knock.

2. Suryakumar Yadav (India)

Suryakumar Yadav is a brilliant talent who has worked his way up in International cricket. Suryakumar Yadav plays his shots in all directions with the ability to play late and to use the depth of the crease.

From the start of 2022, Suryakumar Yadav has been in top form and he will battle it out to carry his side through to World Cup glory in this edition. Ranked at number 2 currently, in the ICC T20I batsman rankings, Yadav is also the highest run-scorer in T20I in 2022, with 801 runs in the bag. 

A prolific run scorer for the Indian squad, if Yadav gets going in ICC T20I World Cup, the oppositions will find it very difficult to contain India.

3. Mohammad Rizwan (Pakistan)

The backbone of the Pakistan batting order, Rizwan has produced stellar performances with the bat in the recent past. He not only skillfully rotates the strike but also puts seasoned bowlers under pressure with his classy shot selections.

The opening batsman for Pakistan, Rizwan uses his batting skills to bat deep and tries to take his team to a comfortable position. He gave a stellar performance in the Asia Cup 2022. He scored 281 runs at an average of 56.20 in the competition.

4. Finn Allen- New Zealand

The opener for New Zealand in T20Is, Finn Allen starts striking hard from the start and forces the opposition to plummet under pressure. In his short T20I career, Allen has already amassed 27 sixes and scored his highest score of 101 against Scotland earlier this year.

A fierce and aggressive batter, Allen doesn’t let the momentum go away by finding gaps at ease and not playing many dot balls. In this edition of the T20I World Cup, Finn Allen will be given complete freedom to go all guns blazing from the get go.
