Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, as per NFL Sunday Night Football broadcast was spotted struggling with his finger during the game against Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.

The Packers lost 16-20 and were eliminated from the playoffs race. The Seattle Seahawks, who defeated the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, will take the No 7 seed and will face the San Francisco 49ers. 

Several fans on social media said that the ‘injured’ comments very conveniently appeared just as the Packers started trailing the Lions.

“Here come the pre “Aaron Rodgers was injured” comments,” a Twitter user said. 

“oh look the “Aaron Rodgers is injured” reports conveniently begin yet again when they’re down. Lions need to win,” another one added.

Rodgers, after the game, also refused to swap his jersey with a Detroit Lions wide receiver, sparking speculation on his retirement. He and veteran WR Randall Cobb were seen walking into the tunnel as fans questioned if it was the end of an era?

Aaron Rodgers went 17 of 27 for 205 yards with one touchdown and the crucial pick on the final pass against the Detroit Lions. The 39-year-old Rodgers has said he doesn’t know whether he plans to continue playing next season.

During the game, Rodgers became the eighth NFL player to have at least 5,000 career completions.

Jamaal Williams’ second 1-yard touchdown run of the night against his former team put the Lions (9-8) ahead with 5:55 remaining. Williams had 17 touchdown runs to break the Lions’ single-season record that Barry Sanders had set in 1991.

Green Bay only got as far as its own 33 on its next series before Kerby Joseph picked off Rodgers’ deep throw on third-and-10 with 3 1/2 minutes left. Detroit held onto the ball for the remainder of the game.
