Footballer Achraf Hakimi is accused of raping a 23-year-old woman at his residence in Spain while his wife and kids were holidaying in Dubai. The woman claims that she and Hakimi started talking to each other on Instagram in January. He allegedly invited her to his home on February 25 when his wife, Hiba Abouk, and two children were on a holiday. Investigation into the alleged incident is ongoing.

Achraf Hakimi was born on November 4, 1998, in Madrid to Hasan Hakimi and Saida Mouh. His parents are Moroccan. They moved to Spain when they were 20 years old to lead a better life.
His father worked as a street vendor while his mother worked as a maid. Achraf Hakimi has two siblings – a brother named Nabil Hakimi and a sister named Quidad Hakimi.
“They came from areas where there is hardly any work. They had to fight enormously hard. I have no words to describe my parents,” Achraf said in an interview, Bundesliga reported.
“When I was young my mum tried to get me into judo or swimming, but I told her it had to be football,” he added.
At the age of seven, Achraf Hakimi received an invitation for a trial at Real Madrid. He received this news via a letter in the post.
“I honestly thought that it was a lie and that my father was pulling my leg,” he said in the interview.
He went on to make his professional debut with the club at the age of 18.
Meanwhile, the footballer’s family is often seen cheering for him at stadiums. In December 2022, he hugged and kissed his mother after Morocco defeated Spain in the World Cup Qualification Round.
