they’ve only won three of twelve matches overall and two of three World Cup
encounters. In addition, Les Bleus have won seven straight World Cup knockout
games, only two short of Brazil’s record, as they fight to become just the
third team to successfully defend their title.

According to a BBC report, FIFA President Gianni Infantino
on December 18 said that FIFA is to reconsider the format of the 2026 World Cup
in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The teams will increase from 32 to 48 for the competition
and were set to be divided into 16 groups of three, with the top two
progressing to the last 32, the report added.
