Answer: Natalie Sciver

Natalie Ruth Sciver is a cricketer from England. She was the first England cricketer to score a hat-trick in a Women’s Twenty20 International match. The “Natmeg” shot is called after Sciver following a game in which she struck a cricket ball through her legs.

Sciver captained the England squad for the first time in international cricket on March 7, 2021, for the third WT20I match against New Zealand, after Heather Knight was ruled out due to injury.

She started playing cricket as a teenager for the Surrey club Stoke d’Abernon. She also played cricket at school, spending two seasons with the Epsom College 1st XI. She played for the Surrey county team and advanced to the England Women’s Academy after spending time in Surrey’s Academy. Following some successful games with the youth squad, she was chosen for the 2013 limited-overs series against Pakistan, where she made her international England debut. She became the first England cricketer to take a hat-trick in an international T20I against New Zealand.

She holds one of the first 18 ECB central contracts for female players, which were revealed in April 2014.

Sciver was picked to England’s squad for the Women’s Ashes tour to Australia in December 2021. She was picked to England’s team for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand in February 2022. She was purchased by the Trent Rockets in April 2022 for the 2022 season of The Hundred.

Sciver confirmed her engagement to fellow England cricketer Katherine Brunt in October 2019. Their wedding was supposed to take place in September 2020, however it was cancelled because to the COVID-19 epidemic.
