Tampa Bay Buccaneers clashed with Miami Dolphins in
Raymond James Stadium, Florida on Sunday.

who now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, became the fastest player to reach
900 career receptions during the game.

Brown, 33, accomplished the feat in just 143 games. He
overtook the 149-game record set by Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin
Harrison.

Brady found Brown on a slant pattern for a 10-yard gain
on first-and-10 from the Tampa Bay 25-yard line.

Brady found Brown underneath for a 62-yard catch and run
on a crossing pattern for a score on Brown’s next catch, the Buccaneers’
longest touchdown through five games. Brown’s speed on the play was 20.95 mph,
according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

Soon after halftime, Brown added a second touchdown
reception.

In three games this season, Brown has 13 catches for 201
yards and a score.

After testing positive for COVID-19, he was forced to
miss Week 4. Brown has 899 receptions (now 900) for 11,947 yards and 80
touchdowns before the Bucs’ Week 5 meeting with the Dolphins.

He snagged seven of the eleven targets thrown his way for
63 yards against New England.

Brown might have reached the 900-yard mark sooner if he
hadn’t been suspended for eight games in 2020 on burglary and assault charges
arising from an incident with a moving truck driver in January 2020. But in
Tampa, he’s reunited with Brady, working to get his life back on track, and
resurrecting his career.

Brown signed a one-year
agreement to return to the Buccaneers on April 28, 2021. Brown passed his test
despite off-season knee surgery, and the agreement was finalised on May 25. The
contract included a $6.25 million base salary, a $2 million signing bonus, and
a $3.1 million guarantee.
