Antonio Brown, Tom Brady’s former teammate, congratulated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star on a 22-year NFL career. Brady, considered as one of the best quarterbacks to play in the league, on Tuesday announced that he is hanging his boots, putting an end to all the speculations around his retirement. 

Brown posted a video montage on Instagram, which included clips of Brady throwing him touchdown passes and their Super Bowl victory with Tampa Bay last season.

“Congratulations to the (goat emoji) @Tom Brady. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to play with you, thank you for enabling me to continue my career in my darkest times and helping me become a champion. I’m thankful for your leadership and winning mentality to make people around you better,” Brown wrote in the caption.

Brown, who is a wide-reciever, and Tom Brady played together in Tampa for a little more than two seasons. The former’s time as a Buc ended last month after he refused to go back into a Week 17 game against the Jets because he claimed to be too injured to keep playing. He took his gears off and ran off the field mid-game. However, coach Bruce Arians after the match saod that he was done with the team. He was released.

“This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,” Brady wrote in a lengthy post on Instagram. “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”

The 44-year-old Brady has long stated his desire to spend more time with his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and three children despite his unique ability to perform exceptionally well at an age when most athletes are way past their prime.
