DeAndre Hopkins took a one-handed touchdown catch against the Minnesota Vikings at the US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis on Sunday. The Wide Receiver, who came off a six-game suspension last week, stuck out his left hand on an overthrown pass for a touchdown in the first half. This is his first touchdown of the current NFL season.

The Vikings led 14-10 at half-time.

Watch:

Hopkins, first-round draft pick in 2013, officially reached 800 career receptions during the game. The 30-year-old caught a 15-yard throw to the left sideline in the first quarter to reach the milestone. He became just the 36th player to achieve this feat. He has played a total of 137 games in his 10 years in the NFL career so far. He has 68 TDs under his name. One thing that has to be known about the player is that, despite playing these many games, he does not have any rushing touchdown to show for it. He is also the third-youngest receiver ever to hit that mark.

One of the most prolific receivers of his generation, Hopkins holds three franchise records for the Houston Texans when he played for the team from 2013 to 2020. He is the all-time leader for the team in single-season TD receptions with 13 in 2017, single-season receptions with 115 in 2018 and most receiving yards in a single postseason with 208 in 2019.

“He is as talented as ever,” quarterback Kyler Murray had said last week. “Just having him out there — it didn’t look like there was any rust. He knocked it off if he had any. Just his communication, his feel for the game. All of that, you can’t put a price tag on him.”

This is just his second game of the season. He played against the New Orleans Saints and recorded 10 receptions for 103 yards in a 42-34 win for his team last week.
