Retiring Arizona Cardinals star JJ Watt exited the field for the last time on Sunday after his side’s loss vs the San Francisco 49ers. The defensive end’s wife Kealia was in tears.

The Cardinals lost by a scoreline of 38-13 to the 49ers, thus bringing an end to their season. 

Watt has been playing in the NFL for the past 12 seasons and has till date been crowned the Defensive Player of the Season in three different seasons. He is also a five-time First-team All-Pro.

Watt’s wife, Kealia, is herself a sportsperson. She plays soccer for the Chicago Red Stars, which competes in the National Women’s Soccer League.

She began her professional career with the Houston Dash when she got picked by them in the 2014 NWSL Draft. Watt has been representing the United States Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) since 2016.

The couple married on February 15, 2020, at The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons resort in the Bahamas.
