India will face Hong Kong in their second match of Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST (6:00 PM local time).

This is the first time that India and Hong Kong will face each other in a T20 match. The two sides have locked horns in two ODIs. The Men in Blue won both the games.

Here is a head-to-head record of both the teams:

Their last meeting was in the 2018 Asia Cup, where India won by 26 runs. Shikhar Dhawan’s 14th ODI century had carried his team to 285/7. Hong Kong openers Nizakat Khan and Anshuman Rath put up a 174-run partnership, the highest for the team in ODIs. The rest of the batting collapsed.

In Asia Cup 2008, India defeated Hong Kong by 256 runs.

Key stats:

1. KL Rahul has an impressive T20 record in Dubai- 731 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 147.67, including a century and six half-centuries. The Indian opener will look to get back in form.

2. Off Spinner Ehsan Khan was Hong Kong’s leading wicket taker in the Asia Cup qualifier. He picked up nine wickets in three games.

3. In the 2018 Hong Kong’s match against India, Ehsan dismissed both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni.

Here is the pitch report of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium:

Dubai International Cricket Stadium is considered to be an average-scoring ground. In general, the pitch is hard, which means there should bounce for the pacers. The absence of dew in Dubai, reduces the difficulty of bowling in the second innings. If we go through the last Asia Cup 2022 matches held at the stadium, Sri Lanka was bowled out at 105 while Pakistan scored 147.
