Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, made his 100th career touchdown pass. Playing the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday, the 25-year-old found tight end Isaiah Likely for the first points of the game.

Jackson now is the fastest player in NFL history to reach 100 touchdown passes and more than 4000 rushing yards after playing just 67 games. This is 31 more than the second-placed Randall Cunningham’s tally of 98 matches.

Isaiah Likely, who filled in for Mark Andrews, had a brilliant game last week. On Monday, he put Baltimore up 7-0 with 1:23 left in the first quarter.

The young rookie wide receiver had big shoes to fill as he replaced Andrews in the starting line-up. The tight end suffered a right shoulder injury whilst also dealing with a knee injury against the Tamp Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 and hence did not travel with the team for this game.

This was the second receiving TD for the player who now has 17 receptions for 205 receiving yards for the season and will be more targeted going ahead into the season as the Ravens are dealing with multiple injuries in their offense.

Jackson also became just the second Ravens quarterback to reach the 100 passing touchdown milestone, joining former Ravens and current backup QB at New York Jets, Joe Flacco who did this in 2012.

The Florida native passed Steve Young for the fifth-most rushing yards by a quarterback in NFL history with his 16-yard run in the second quarter, giving him a total of 4,253 for his career.

As the final player picked in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, he was the fifth quarterback by that time who was drafted. It was a move by the Ravens to move on from Super Bowl winner Flacco as he was suffering from lingering injuries.

But the player overachieved in just his second season in 2019, as he became just the second player behind Tom Brady to be awarded the NFL MVP award unanimously.

He posted a stat sheet of 36 passing TDs and 7 rushing TDs with a total of six interceptions, while simultaneously securing the single-season rushing record for quarterbacks with 1,206 yards.
