The Baltimore Ravens travelled to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Thursday Night Football in Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season on October 28. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson made headlines in the game when he scored two touchdowns to help his side take a 17-10 lead over the hosts.

The 25-year-old scored two touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third quarter, helping his side to take a 17-10 lead at Raymond James Stadium. Jackson has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league since the 2022 season began and despite a slow start on Thursday against the Buccs, he lived up to the expectations.

Lamar Jackson’s first touchdown of the night came when Kenyan Drake made a 5-yard reception on the right side, helping the Baltimore Ravens to make the score 10-10 in the third quarter.

This was followed by another touchdown in the final moments of the third quarter, when Lamar Jackson found tight end Isiah Likely near the end zone. The rookie made an exceptional reception before finishing the touchdown as the Baltimore Ravens led 17-10 with five seconds left on the clock for the third quarter.

The Ravens quarterback started the game underwhelmingly, registering only 19 successful passes out of 30 attempts for 144 yards. However, he made a comeback in the second half, registering 27 successful passes out of 38 attempts for 238 yards, 2 passing touchdowns, a 71.1% pass completion rate and a rating of 104.9 with 4:57 left on the clock for the fourth quarter.

Jackson has recorded 121 successful passes out of 197 attempts for 1,397 yards, 13 passing touchdowns, 6 interceptions, a 61.4% pass completion rate and a rating of 92.1 in the 2022 NFL season so far. He also created history when he scored a total of 4 touchdowns against the New England Patriots on September 25.
