Ben Affleck and his son Samuel Garner Affleck announced the 2023 Ruffles All-Star Celebrity Game in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday.

American actor and director Ben Affleck is from America. Two Academy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards are among his honors. When he appeared in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi as a young actor, Affleck launched his career (1984, 1988).

Later, he made guest appearances in a number of Kevin Smith movies and the 1993 independent comedy Dazed and Confused. Affleck rose to prominence after he and Matt Damon, who co-wrote and co-starred in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, won the Golden Globe and Oscar Award for Best Original Screenplay.

In studio productions like the disaster movie Armageddon (1998), the war drama Pearl Harbor (2001), and the thrillers The Sum of All Fears and Changing Lanes (both in 2002), he made a name for himself as a leading actor.

His 2007 film Gone Baby Gone, which he also co-wrote, was warmly regarded as his directorial debut. The criminal drama The Town (2010) and the political thriller Argo (2012), both critical and commercial hits, were the next two films he directed and acted in.

In recognition of the latter, Affleck received the Best Director Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards as well as the Best Picture Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Academy Awards. The following year, Affleck starred in the psychological suspense film Gone Girl, and in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, he portrayed the superhero Batman in the DC Extended Universe (2016).

Affleck played supporting roles in the 2021 historical dramas The Tender Bar and The Final Duel after having a starring role in the 2016 thriller The Accountant. The Eastern Congo Initiative is a charity dedicated to grantmaking and lobbying, and Affleck is one of its co-founders. He is a devoted member of the Democratic Party. In addition to being co-owners of Pearl Street Pictures, Affleck and Damon are co-owners of the production business Artists Equity.
