Buffalo Bills defeated Detroit Lions 25-22 on Thanksgiving Day at the Ford Field in Detroit for their eighth win of the season.

After the win, Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs and QB Josh Allen ate Turkeys on the field as a celebration of their performances.

It has been a tradition in the NFL ever since 1989 where the game’s MVP is awarded the Turkey leg for his great performance. The legendary John Madden started the trend, and it’s since become a huge part of the festive NFL showcase.

This was a good back-and-forth game between the two teams. QB Allen threw for 253 yards and two passing TDs and one rushing TD as well while completing just 24 out of his 42 passes. He had a very good game while running with the football, recording 10 carries for 78 yards. He is now the NFL‘s second-leading touchdown receiver with nine.

As for Diggs, he bounced back from a dull game at Cleveland last week where it was the first time this season that his receiving yards were below 50 in the game. For today’s game, the 28-year-old caught eight receptions in 15 targets for 77 yards.

The Lions’ three-game winning streak comes to an end with this loss. But the team still stands at the second spot in the NFC North, trailing division leaders Minnesota Vikings. But they are ahead of the Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers, as the team from the state of Michigan won the game against the Packers team in Week 9.

Bills are now top of their AFC East group for the time being as second-placed Miami Dolphins don’t play a game until Sunday, November 27. But if the Dolphins win their game, they will lead the group, courtesy of their head-to-head record against each other.
