Josh Allen connected with tight end Quinton Morris for Buffalo Bills’ first touchdown against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday. Fans celebrated the score by tossing snowballs. By the end of quarter 1, the Bills led 7-6.

In the final minutes of the first quarter, Allen hit Dawson Knox who managed to go on for 45 yards. Devin Singletary’s 13-yard catch was followed by the quarterback’s throw to tight end Quintin Morris for a 14-yard touchdown.

Fans, at the snow-laden Highmark Stadium, celebrated the touchdown by tossing snowballs.

The Buffalo Bills led Miami 21-13 at halftime. Officials had to halt the game for a few minutes to ask the supporters to stop throwing snowballs on the pitch. They were warned that if the unruly behaviour continues, the home team will be penalised.

“The ref literally warned the fans back in the first half that there would be a 15 yard penalty if more snowballs were thrown,” a Twitter user said.

“Who could have foreseen this? Surely a fanbase that puts themselves through flaming tables wouldn’t stoop to the level of throwing snowballs… What the fuck was the NFL expecting?” another one added. 

“They got the game delayed for throwing snowballs on the field and at the fins sideline,” a fourth one added.
