The NFL changed the bio for its official Twitter handle to “calling them Tuachdowns from now on”. This was to celebrate a rare achievement from a quarterback when Miami Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa scored six passing touchdowns against the Baltimore Ravens in the Week 2 of the 2022 NFL Season

The Dolphins won the game 42-38, giving them their second consecutive victory of the new season. In the game, he completed 36 out of the 50 passes he threw for 469 yards while also having two interceptions in the game. He threw two of his six TDs to new wide receiver Tyreek Hill who himself had a stellar game finishing with 190 yards in 11 receptions.

Tagovailoa is now tied with Kansas City Chiefs’s QB Patrick Mahomes and Washington Commanders’  QB Carson Wentz for most touchdowns after two weeks of the season. Three of them have now thrown seven touchdowns each. Following them are Jared Goff (Detroit Lions), Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens) and Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers) who all have been successful in throwing six TDs each.

This is also the first time since the 2018 season that a player has thrown six touchdowns in a game. Two players threw six touchdowns that year. The players were Patrick Mahomes and Mitchell Trubisky. Mahomes achieved the feat twice that season, a rare feat.
