With the Indian Premier League 2021 just around the corner, Chennai Super Kings’ men in yellow are all set to get their record back on track after an underperforming season in 2020. In addition to Mumbai Indians, the Chennai Super Kings have been one of the most successful teams in the T20 format series since its inception.

The team, which is led by former Indian team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will be playing to defend their record of being the most consistent team in the IPL, while holding on to their accolades such as having the most appearances in the finals and the playoffs and will seek their fourth win in the series.

Chennai Super Kings, who will be playing their flagship match in the series against Delhi Capitals on April 10, has a handpicked and experienced team management and coaches, who will be providing intensive training to the team. 

While the head coach for the team is Stephen Fleming, the bowling department is being led by Lakshmipathy Balaji, who will be assisted by Eric Simons. On the other hand, Michael Hussey will be taking charge to coach the team in the batting department. 

With all-rounder Shane Watson exiting the Chennai Super Kings after announcing his retirement from the game, the team had an open space in the bowling lineup, which was later filled in by England’s Moeen Ali and Krishnappa Gowtham.

Chennai Super Kings has a 25 player strong lineup for IPL 2021 and is expected to give room to new and emerging players, who have made their way into the team after the recently held auction.

The Chennai Super Kings squad consists of Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir, Robin Uthappa, Shardul Thakur, Ambati Rayudu, Cheteshwar Pujara, Josh Hazlewood, Moeen Ali, Karn Sharma, Deepak Chahar,  Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sam Curran, Dwayne Bravo, Lungi Ngidi, K Bhagath Varma, K Gowtham, C Hari Nishaanth, Sai Kishore, KM Asif, M Harisankar Reddy, N. Jagdeesan and Mitchell Santner, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
