On the opening play of the game against the Chargers, the rookie quarterback made an amazing 41-yard pass. But for the remainder of the game, the offense was ineffective. However, Justin Herbert, the quarterback for the Chargers, had a tremendous game, completing 21 of 25 passes for three touchdowns.
Bagent completed 10 of 15 throws for 121 yards throughout the contest. Due to a misunderstanding between receivers D.J. Moore and Darnell Mooney, he did throw an interception. The ball ended up landing well short of Mooney as a result. Darrynton Evans’ only carry of the half, an outstanding 11-yard rush, set up the Bears’ lone touchdown. This concluded a remarkable seven minutes and three-second drive, a grind that the Chargers were happy to watch as they maintained their 17-point advantage.
