"The game today has been abandoned. We wish Chippenham's Pablo Martinez well wishes and a speedy recovery. The Chippenham announcer said that he is breathing and is being taken to hospital. We congratulate Chippenham and the NHS for a speedy response to the events this afternoon," Chelmsford said after the match was abandoned.
A former Wales Under-17 and U-19 international, Martinez was a part of West Brom's youth academy. He was released by the club in 2020. The centre-back took a transfer from Bristol Rovers in 2022.
