The Commonwealth Games 2022 is already here and the first day of action turned out to be full of blockbuster action for fans across the world. The Indian athletes did not have a particularly great opening day, as only Srihari Nataraj (swimming), the badminton contingent and Shiva Thapa (boxing) were the only athletes who advanced to the next round in their respective disciplines.

However, the second day is set to offer more top athletes from the country who will take centre stage on Saturday. Tokyo Olympics medal winner Saikhom Mirabai Chanu (weightlifting), the Indian women’s hockey team and the women’s table tennis team will be the highlights of the day as India looks to open their account at the mega-event. Let’s find out which of the top Indian athletes will be in action on the second day of the Commonwealth Games 2022.
