Cristiano Ronaldo will make his first Manchester United appearance on Saturday against Newcastle. This will be Ronaldo’s second debut for Manchester United after the football superstar returned to the team after a shock transfer just before the deadline. Cristiano Ronaldo had left Manchester United to join Real Madrid in 2009. 

Manchester United manager Solskjaer said Friday that Cristiano Ronaldo will play at least some part of the Premier League game against Newcastle. The match line-up has been released.

On Friday, Manchester United manager Solskjaer said, “He’s been having a good pre-season with Juventus, he’s played for the  the national team, he’s had a good week with us here.” 

The 36-year-old football legend has won three Premier League titles and the Champions League during his first stint with the Manchester United. Upon rejoining Manchester United, Ronaldo had said that his relationship with former United manager Alex Ferguson had played a major role in him deciding to return to Old Trafford, reports NDTV.

Solskjaer, Manchester United’s current manager, has played with Ronaldo during his first stint with United. “Of course we’ve followed his career from afar since he left here and I think everyone’s very happy to have him back,” Solskjaer said a day before Saturday’s game.

Football fans across the world are awaiting Cristiano Ronaldo’s return with bated breath. Manchester United supporters expect Ronaldo to add quality to an already strong team. 

Newcastle chief Steve Bruce, who had once been a Manchester United player, said that he appreciates that it will be an emotional afternoon for Ronaldo and the club’s supporters. “The goals he’s scored at every club he’s played for is quite remarkable. That, quite rightly in my opinion, makes him the best player in the world.”
