Spectators at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Seattle Seahawks Week 10 game sang John Denver’s ‘Country Roads’. The two sides played at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Sunday. 

Tom Brady’s Buccaneers won 21-16.

As many as 69,811 people attended the first NFL game in Germany to watch GOAT Tom Brady take on the Seattle Seahawks. Fans in the stadium were also seen performing the Mexican wave earlier in the game.

In the final minutes of the game, the crowd started singing Country Roads, a 1971 release by American singer-songwriter John Denver

Brady and co were 14-0 up in the first half after a 31-yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Julio Jones and a 1-yard Leonard Fournette touchdown run. Tampa held the Seahawks and their quarterback Geno Smith to 58 first-half yards. 

In the second half, Seattle came back strong. They led Tampa 16-7 in the final 30 minutes of play. A 55-yard field goal by Ryan Succop and touchdowns by Tyler Lockett and Marquise Goodwin helped them recover to 16 points.

Geno Smith finished the game completing 23 of 33 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed four times for 22 yards. Seattle’s DK Metcalf had six receptions for 71 yards. His Tampa counterpart Chris Godwin finished with the same stats. 

Godwin, however, had a touchdown against his name. 

Tom Brady completed 22 of 29 passes for two touchdowns and an interception. It was his first interception in 400 attempts. Running back Rachaad White had 22 carries for 105 yards. 

League commissioner Roger Goodell told a fan forum in Munich on Saturday that the NFL will stage “at least” four games in Germany through 2025.

The current agreement includes Sunday’s first game in Germany plus an annual game over the next three seasons — with Munich and Frankfurt each hosting twice.
