Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, started the Week 8 game against the Chicago Bears with two TDs in the first quarter.

He opened his scoring with a rushing TD after running past two Bears defenders and then passed to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for an endzone play five minutes later, to give the Cowboys a 14-0 lead at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

This is Prescott’s third game of the season and second game back from a thumb injury he suffered back in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

Lamb caught a 21-yard pass from Prescott as he was running into the endzone. It was also his first catch of the game.

The Cowboys have already outpassed the Bears 108-16 as the visiting team mostly relies on their running abilities as supposed to them making passing plays. 

Prescott is 11 of 12 from passing and 5/5 from third downs in the game.

The quarterback has put up decent performances since making his return. During this past week’s dominating win against the Detroit Lions, Prescott recorded a passing TD and threw for 207 yards, completing 19 out of his 25 passes along the way. The team is 5-2 for the season and are third in NFC East, behind an unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants.

Cowboys are second in the NFL in points allowed, sixth in passing TDs allowed and have only allowed two rushing touchdowns against them so far which is the second best in the league, behind the Tennessee Titans. They lead the whole league in sacks with 29 and are closely followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second position with 25.

This touchdown by Lamb was his third for the season and first since Week 4 when he recorded six catches for 97 yards in a 25-10 win over the Washington Commanders.
