As he continues recovery, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is now able to FaceTime with family and is breathing without the assistance of a breathing tube.
The Bills verified that Hamlin’s breathing tube has been removed and that he is speaking to people nearby. After University of Cincinnati Health doctors Dr. Timothy Pritts and Dr. William Knight spoke to the media on Thursday, there has been a significant upgrade.

Monday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals saw Hamlin experience a cardiac arrest during the first quarter and has been hospitalised ever since. Due to heart damage, Hamlin was put into an artificial coma; nevertheless, the NFL player is now awake and improving.
The Bills tweeted on Friday morning: “Damar’s breathing tube was removed overnight. He continues to progress remarkably in his recovery.”

“His neurologic function remains intact and he has been able to talk to his family and care team.” Moreover, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Hamlin has spoken to teammates and is even addressing the entire team since then.
“Damar Hamlin is addressing the team via Facetime, Rapoport tweeted. “The breathing tube is out, and he’s spent the morning speaking to various teammates on Facetime. Now, he’s delivering a message to the entire group, I’m told,” he tweeted.
After being tackled in the open field by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, Hamlin experienced a cardiac arrest. For more evaluation and care, he was moved to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Since then, there have been several updates about his recovery from his family and his team.
Tuesday night, Dorrian Glenn, Hamlin’s uncle, stated that although the 24-year-old’s condition has improved, he is still receiving intensive care. His condition has improved since he was completely dependent on the life-saving equipment, and he is now just using 50% oxygen on a ventilator.
Following this, other updates were made of the player gaining consciousness and being responsive to doctors and family. Various actions of support and well-wishes were given to Hamlin and his family.
