Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill warned OBJ after his touchdown celebration following his own history with the same recently.

Tyreek Hill found himself parting ways with a portion of his earnings as the NFL unveiled its Week 5 fine list on Saturday. The Miami Dolphins receiver faced a fine of $10,927 for unsportsmanlike conduct, a penalty incurred for his act of throwing up a peace sign on his way to scoring a 69-yard touchdown during the third quarter of the Dolphins’ 31-16 triumph over the New York Giants.

Hill’s touchdown celebration, marked by the peace sign, drew a taunting flag, specifically when he entered the stands to present the football to his mother. While Hill is no stranger to exuberant touchdown celebrations, he has become equally acquainted with league discipline. Earlier in the week, he disclosed via social media that the NFL has fined him “more than 100k.” This revelation came after another fine for a uniform violation related to not wearing socks. Although the exact amount for the footwear infraction is termed “significant,” it falls below the $100,000 threshold, according to NFL Network.

Addressing the issue of his sockless appearances, Hill explained that time constraints before games sometimes led to this situation, particularly when he receives pre-game IVs to prevent cramping. Despite these challenges, he expressed his willingness to “comply” with the league’s uniform guidelines, given the financial repercussions of repeated fines.

Week 5 saw a total of 29 fines for various offenses, with notable players like T.J. Watt, L’Jarius Sneed, and Zack Moss among those facing deductions from their paychecks. Watt incurred a $25,132 fine for two infractions, one for removing his helmet after sacking Lamar Jackson and another for unnecessary roughness in a hit on Zay Flowers.
