Sir Elton Hercules John, the English singer, is currently embarked on his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour. The famous singer has been recently noticed on the internet for thanking the wrong city in his official Twitter handle.

On February 2, the music icon’s twitter account shared a series of photos from his performance at Kansas City’s T-Mobile Center. The tweet also carried with it a message for the attendees. It read, “What a great night @tmobilecenter in Arkansas City! Thank you to everyone who came down- you were all amazing.”

The tweet has garnered around eight hundred likes and over a hundred comments. Viewers have pointed out that the 74-year-old singer has thanked the wrong city rather than the one in which he had performed. Arkansas City, Kansas is located about 226 miles southwest of Kansas City, Missouri where he had performed.

It is still unclear as to who sent the erroneous tweet, if it was Elton himself or someone from his team. The representative team has been quite silent to the press’s questions.

The T-Mobile Center’s management didn’t mind the wrongly mentioned city. They replied to the “Rocket Man” singer in response. They thanked him with their tweet. The arena’s message read, “Kansas City [loves] Elton John”
