Erling Haaland scored two quick goals in the first half as Manchester City face Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium. After his quick brace, the Norwegian sensation then assisted Phil Foden for City’s fourth goal just a minute before half time.

City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne angled in a cross from the left side of the United box to Haaland who scored his 12th goal of the season and City’s second goal in the game. Just three minutes after that, he followed it up with his 13th goal of the season.

Manchester City came in the match all guns blazing, as they made three attempts in the first three minutes. Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, and jack Grealish all saw their shots stopped in quick succession by David de Gea.

They capitalized on their position of strength on the eight-minute mark when Foden got space inside the penalty area and sent the ball into the goal. On the 20th minute, Gundogan’s free kick nearly doubled Pep Guardiola’s team’s advantage as it zipped past the wall but missed the outside of the right post.
Haaland then scored his seventh goal in a row for City after scoring from a corner by to give the hosts complete control over their derby rivals.

Three minutes later, the Norwegian added a second goal with de Bruyne again giving the assist. He angles the ball to the back post, to which Haaland made a run for. He connects with his left foot and hits the ball to the bottom left corner of the post.
Just minutes before the break, Haaland then provided an assist by playing a magnificent pass into the path of Foden, who scored at the back post, scoring his second and City’s fourth in the game.
