Ahead of their massive Round of 16 clash against France in Euro 2020, Switzerland goalkeepers were spotted wearing special sunglasses during the training session on Monday.

All of the shot-stoppers — Yan Sommer, Jonas Omlin, Yvon Mvogo and Gregor Kober — were wearing, reportedly, battery-powered eye-wear, which create a slow-mo effect and help the glovesmen improve their anticipation.

According to reports from The Sun, the glasses were made by the Japanese company VisionUp and costs more than 350 pounds.

On Monday, Switzerland will try to overcome the incredible challenge of square off against the current world champions.

Will these unique training patterns materialise onfield, that remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Swiss skipper and Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka said the team are ready to “make history” and rewrite their reputation as last-16 flops, according to The Sun inputs.

However, Xhaka was quick to put some respect on France’s name saying, “France have top stars in their ranks and you have to be clever, smart and find the right balance between pressing and staying a little bit deeper.”

“But it doesn’t mean if you stand deep that you are defensive. You have to win the duels and play football.”

Switzerland qualified for the knockouts after finishing third in Group A with four points.
