Nelson Agholor of the New England Patriots won hearts as he helped fellow wide receiver and team mate DeVante Parker to get off the field during the first quarter of Patriots’ encounter against the hosts Arizona Cardinals in the week 14 of the NFL.

After a violent tussle for the ball, Parker struggled to get on his feet. However it was not the concussion spotters but his teammate Agholor who saw his state and was quick to recognise it. Parker was taken of the field due to injury.

New England won 27-13.

Twitter users seemed impressed with Agholor’s team spirit even as they lashed out against the match official who stood  nearby and the concussion spotters for negligence.

“Kudos to Agholor. That’s a teammate who understands that some things are more important than the game,” added a user.

“The spotter for this game should be fired…dude was stumbling from the time he got up,” a second one tweeted.

“Good on Agholor to look out for the wellness of others,” reacted another twitter user.

“How did the official who is literally 2 feet away from him not stop the play when Parker is just wobbling on his feet,” blasted a fourth.

“Great teammate right there. Maybe the league needs a player signal that there’s a serious injury concern. Like take a helmet off. Even waving to the med staff could be missed,” a fifth user commented.

At half time the Patriots trailed the Cardinals 10-13. However, a touchdown in the third quarter ensured that the visitors went up 20-13 at the end of the third. The Patriots who are currently in last place in AFC East need to win to retain hopes of a playoff berth. On the other hand, a defeat would practically end qualification chances for the Arizona Cardinals.
