Atlanta Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota was trolled on Thursday after he threw an interception against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night. The 29-year-old, however, connected with Drake London for a touchdown. 

Carolina led Atlanta 13-9 in the third quarter at the Bank of America Stadium. 

Mariota threw an interception with 1:47 left in the first half. Jaycee Horn picked the ball and the Panthers got a 49-yard field goal to go up 13-0.

“Marcus Mariota is legit playing some of the worst QB I’ve ever seen in my life right now,” a Twitter user said. 

“BOY GET MARCUS MARIOTA OFF MY FUCKING SCREEN I*M GOING TO LOSE IT,” another one said. 

The 29-year-old QB has completed 12 out of his 19 passes for 96 yards while also rushing twice for 29 yards. Despite having a top-10 QBR with 59.7, Mariota has thrown just 10 touchdowns with six interceptions in nine games. He has recorded 1561 passing yards completing a total of 124 out of 201 passes for a season % of 61.7. He has been sacked 21 times and is on pace to cross the least number of falls that he received in a season, 23 in 2016 when he played for the Tennessee Titans.

His team, the Falcons have managed to remain competitive in the difficult NFC South division that has the Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints as their primary rivals. They are 1-2 against their divisional teams and 4-5 overall for the season, tied with Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They close out their season against the same team and going by their upcoming schedule, the team could end up winning the division. 

They are middle of the pack in defensive rankings, racking up 12 sacks and are 11 in the league in rushing yards allowed with 962.
