The Seattle Seahawks wore neon highlighter jerseys in their Thursday Night matchup against the San Francisco 49ers at the Lumen Field. 

Fans trolled the team. 

“These highlighter jerseys were fun once. Enough already. Nobody likes this shit. Thank you. -Everyone,” a Twitter user wrote.

“Posted about them years ago, but these back-to-school highlighter jerseys on Seacocks are just gross. Absolutely embarrassing in 2022. Just commit to the whole thing and have special teams wear 90s mom jeans to really remind everyone the last time Seattle was culturally relevant,” another one said on Twitter. 

“Seahawks look like their jerseys fell into a vat of highlighter fluid,” a third one tweeted.

Another fan has even compared the Seahawks’ choice of attire with that of their rivals 49ers, praising their white throwback jersey. The fan wrote, “Of course the Seahawks are wearing those ghastly highlighter neon color jerseys lol. The niners all white throwbacks are sooooo much better looking lol”.

Seahawks vs 49ers is one of the most storied rivalries in NFL history. Although the first time these two teams played against each other was in 1978, their rivalry began in 2002, when they were drawn together in the NFC West division.

The 49ers are proving to be the stronger side in this match, leading 21-6 in the fourth quarter. However, the Seahawks’ time of possession (24:18) is more than their opponents (22:24).
