Tennis player Sania Mirza recently announced her retirement at the end of the 2022 season. She claimed that her physique was failing and that she was risking her 3-year-old child by travelling so much with him during a pandemic.

Her social media presence, on the other hand, has never lacked energy or motivation over the years. The 35-year-old is a prolific social media user who has been a joy to follow on Instagram, where she publishes hilarious videos of herself with friends and family.

Look at some of the funniest videos shared by Sania Mirza on Instagram:

Why is it Monday again?

One of the most recent videos she uploaded on Instagram was about how people felt about the terrible ‘Monday Blues,’ or the sense of being unmotivated after two days of fun. You’ll be in splits after seeing her video. Sania can be heard lip-syncing to a hilarious, cartoon voice, “Why is it Monday again?” while making odd facial movements. “It’s Monday again, I sleep, I wakey wakey, and it’s like a couple of days ago.” She captioned the video, “Aah… Monday feels”. Her film maker friend Farah Khan reacted to the post and wrote, “I think you should always talk like this.”

Pretty annoying or just pretty

Sania Mirza and her cricketer husband Shoaib Malik are a charming couple. Moreover, they appear to have a better understanding of one another’s sense of humour. Take, for example, this Instagram reel, in which Sania is filming the video in a room with Shoaib sitting behind her. “My husband called me pretty today,” Sania says. Well, he said, I am pretty annoying, but I only focus on the positive, you see.”  Shoaib can be seen making expressions behind her while she is filming the video. Sania wrote “He thinks I can’t see his expressions,” with an eye-roll emoji.

First-child problems

Sania was shown in another interesting video complaining about the fact that her parents treated her and her younger sister differently. Sania highlighted the limitations she had as an older sibling through a handful of funny notes placed on the video, while her younger sister had complete freedom.

The post read, “My sister at 15, my younger sister: Can I go for a trip to London? Parents: Sure.” The next line read, “Me at 21, Me: Can I go for a sleepover? Parents: NO.” Her expressions about this so-called disparity were amazingly cute. “First child problems,” Sania captioned the post.

Act gone wrong

Sania Mirza once tried to imitate a self-defence video tutorial, which made her admirers laugh out loud. The original video shows a hostage turning the tables on his gun-toting kidnappers by stealing their weapon and gaining the upper hand. Sania portrays the kidnapper in Sania’s Reels, while Parikshit Balochi, a prominent travel writer, plays the hostage, kneeling down with his hands behind his head. Balochi tries to steal a toy gun from Sania as she points it at him, but she is too quick for him. She also smacks him on the left cheek and laughs like a child.

Ignored by friends

What happens if Sania Mirza isn’t tagged in a meme post by her best friends? She couldn’t care less. That is, at least, what she appears to be saying in this post. “Duniya mein doston ki waise kamie nahin hai yaar (I don’t have a scarcity of friends in this world),” she says, lip-syncing a line from the classic Deewana Hai Dekho number from the 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
