American professional race car driver Jimmie Johnson has received a special gift from former NASCAR, F1, and Formula E driver, Nelson Piquet Jr. 

The Brazilian driver has sent Johnson a replica of one of his helmets, as a keepsake. 

The 45-year-old car racer is edging closer to his retirement from National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR).

Johnson is a seven-time champion in the NASCAR cup series and right now he has six races left in the NASCAR 2020 season.

Although his racing career is not going to finish soon. Johnson is all set to join open-wheel series IndyCar. In 2021, he will join the Chip Ganassi Racing team. There is also a chance of him taking a crack at the Indianapolis 500 in 2022.
