Abu Dhabi will mark the end of Formula 1 seasons for the next 10 years after its contract was renewed till 2030 on Thursday. The Yas Marina Circuit has been been hosting grands prix since 2009 and is set to witness one of the biggest battles in the sport’s history – Lewis Hamilton vs Max Verstappen – this weekend.

Making the announcement, F1 president Stefano Domenicali said, “The promoter always creates an incredible show for the final race of every F1 season and combined with the changes made to improve the racing on Yas Marina Circuit we are excited for the many years of racing in Abu Dhabi that are ahead of us.”

The Formula 1 championship this year has come down to the wire with Verstappen and Hamilton heading to Abu Dhabi level on points. The equation is pretty simple – winner takes it all.  If both fail to finish, Verstappen will win his first world title on account of more wins.
