France under manager Didier Deschamps is a formidable force in world football. They won the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and just when everyone wrote them off from the Qatar edition after a shocking group stage exit in the 2020 Euro Cup, they managed to reach the final of the tournament for the second time in a row.

2. Brazil in 1958 and 1962
With legend Pele leading Brazil’s attack in the late fifties and the early sixties, they were an unstoppable force in the FIFA World Cup then. Although they come up as favorites in every edition of the FIFA World Cup having won it six times in the past – the most by any nation, they have not won it since 2002. This year, they crashed out in the quarter-final after losing to Croatia in penalty shootouts.
