Trumpeter Freddie Jones played the National Anthem before the Dallas Cowboys vs Indianapolis Colts encounter at the AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys were joined by 17 recipients of the Medal of Honor.

The video of the national anthem has gone viral on social media on Sunday night. Dallas won the game 54-19.

Freddie Jones is a popular jazz trumpet player, composer, and songwriter based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. He has been playing trumpet at a professional level since the age of 15. He started a band at the age of 13 and played Catholic jazz mass at church on Sundays.

Jones plays the national anthem before each of the team’s home games at AT&T Stadium. He has taken his trumpet and his group on the road across the southwest, performing in cities like Austin, Chicago, New York, and everywhere in between. Freddie has also performed in Paris, The Hague, and Rotterdam, including festivals all over the US.

His band, the Freddie Jones Jazz Group, never fails to pull in the audience and deliver exciting music. During high school, he was selected as part of an opening act for Bobby Womack. He was also invited by Ben Cauley himself to sit in the main act.

Jones attended college at Memphis State, then Central State University in Ohio.

The Cowboys moved to 9-3 on the season after beating the Colts on Sunday night, 54-19. Colts gave Dallas a run for money out of the gate, scoring 10 points on its first two possession to take an early lead. The Cowboys were able to spark up a couple of touchdown drives to move ahead. The Colts had an opportunity to go into the break with a surprising lead, particularly after Stephon Gilmore picked off Dak Prescott with just under three minutes to play in the second quarter.

In the second half, Indianapolis again was first to get the scoring started with a 15-yard touchdown catch by Alec Pierce, but unable to draw even with Dallas after a two-point attempt to Parris Campbell failed.

The Cowboys scored 33 points in the fourth quarter to bag the game.
