The Indian cricket team’s second ODI match against England turned out to be more spectacular than earlier thought, as legends Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh were spotted in attendance on Thursday.

The Lord’s has a special place in the hearts of all cricket fans, specially from India. It was at this iconic stadium where former India captain Sourav Ganguly waved his shirt on July 13, 2022 — two decades ago. At the time, the incident received flak from the British media, however, went down as one of the most memorable incidents in the history of Indian cricket.

It was also at the Lord’s where Harbhajan Singh registered a 3/28 haul in 2004, a performance that has gone down in the history books. Yuvraj Singh also registered a similar performance at the stadium in 2002, recording a 3/39 haul against England in an ODI match.

MS Dhoni also had his fair share of memories at the Lord’s. It was at this iconic English stadium where Captain Cool conquered England on July 21, 2014 to lead India to a win at the venue since 1986.

India bowled England out at 249 in the second ODI as Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya led Men in Blue’s attack from the front. Chahal registered an unique record by dismissing Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali and becoming the first-ever Indian bowler to claim four wickets at the Lord’s.
