Here are the five talking points of the Premier League so far:

1) Harry Kane or not, Tottenham know how to win matches: Spurs defeated Manchester City 1-0. The win comes at a moment when the club’s regular skipper Harry Kane, according to rumours, is set to leave. City’s Etihad Stadium is Kane’s most likely destination, reports say. It was Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son who struck the club’s statement goal.

2) Jack Grealish’s debut: The former Aston Villa captain made his debut for Manchester City against Tottenham Hotspur. While the match ended in a disappointing 1-0 loss for City, the £100 million seemed right on the money.

“He has incredible continuity, he is so dangerous close to the box, when we have the ball he always has an extra pass. He got three or four fouls in the first minutes and immediately he woke up and showed. He has incredible continuity, he is so dangerous close to the box, when we have the ball he always has an extra pass. He had an incredible game and incredible debut and will be so important for us. I congratulate him for having the personality to try and try until the end,” manager Pep Guardiola said about Grealish.

3) Brentford start with points: The Bees stung the Gunners, metaphorically. Brentford not only managed to score their first goal back to the English top-flight after 75 years but also contained Arsenal and won 2-0. Thomas Frank’s side looked fearless, innovative and offensive in their approach. The match saw Brentford playing through balls, counter-attacking and also setting up strikes.

4) Trevoh Chalobah’s dream debut: Chelsea’s Chalobah, a product of the club’s academy, made his mark right away by scoring a goal in his side’s 3-0 win against Crystal Palace. While Mason Mount was Chelsea’s best player during the win, Chalobah’s 25-yard goal was one of the most celebrated moments.

5) Manchester United has a champion team this season: Talk about the best midfielders in the Premier League and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba are somewhere at the top of the list. The two shared three goals and four assists amongst them in the club’s 5-0 win over Leeds United. The team also saw Mason Greenwood step up and showcase the qualities of a No 9, the club has been starving for. In Sancho, Rashfor, Martial, Greenwood, Pogba and Fernandes, the team has a glorious attacking line.
