Peyton Hendershot, tight end for the Dallas Cowboys, scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter against the New York Giants at the AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving day. Four team players, celebrating, got into the Salvation Army Kettle on the sideline and pretended a whack-a-mole play.

With Hendershot’s TD, Dallas got to a 28-13 lead on Thursday.

Deep in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys, Hendershot took the football for two yards for the six-point score. Kicker Brett Maher made the extra point to take the lead to 15 points.

“An undrafted free agent tight end from Indiana just scored the game-breaking TD and 4 Cowboy tight ends jumped into the Kettle and played whack-a-mole AS IF THEY HAD REHEARSED IT BEFORE THE GAME. SURREAL. BEAUTIFUL. 28-13,” a Twitter user said. 

“AMAZING KETTLE CELEBRATION BY PEYTON HENDERSHOT,” another one tweeted.

“I don’t root for any team but I absolutely root for Red Kettle celebrations,” a third one added. 

Meanwhile, Jake Ferguson, only minutes earlier, jumped over New York Giants cornerback Adorre’ Jackson to entertain thousands watching the game.

The Cowboys trailed 13-7 at half-time. However, the team got two quick touchdowns in the third quarter and were leading 28-13 after a strong second-half show. 

Tight end Dalton Schultz received two touchdown passes for a total of 31 receiving yards. Running back Ezekiel Elliot ran with the ball 12 times for 84 yards and a TD.
