Leading up to the ton, the tyro had picked up scores of 63, 48, 98* (against West Indies), 82 and 33 (in the opening two ODIs against Zimbabwe). Rohit Sharma at 6th and Shikhar Dhawan, dropping one place to 12th, are the other Indians in the top 15. Trent Boult, Josh Hazlewood and Afghan off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman round off the top 3. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan leads the all-rounder’s charts. In the test rankings, Kagiso Rabada rises to third. His spell against England at Lord’s set up a comfortable win for the visiting South Africans. The pacer follows Pat Cummins and Ravichandran Ashwin in the rankings. Jasprit Bumrah is the second Indian in the top 10, tied 4th with Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi.
