Miho Takagi of Japan won the women’s speedskating 1,000-meter final to secure gold, while Norway won the Olympic gold in the men’s Nordic combined team competition. Russia’s Anna Shcherbakova, meanwhile, won the figure skating gold over 15-year-old favourite Kamila Valieva, who is embroiled in a doping controversy and finished fourth.
