Following the England series, the Indian team will tour the West Indies Cricket Team. The series will begin on July 29, 2022 and conclude on August 7, 2022. The series consists of five T20’s and three ODI’s.

SCHEDULE & VENUE

The first T20I between the West Indies and India will be played on July 29 in Tarouba, Trinidad. The second and third T20 Internationals will be played in Basseterre on August 1 and 2, while the final two will be played in Florida, the USA on August 6 and 7.

On July 12, 2022, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declared the Team India T20I squad for the upcoming five-match series against the West Indies, which will be played in the Caribbean and the United States of America (USA) beginning on July 29.

The BCCI has already announced the squad for the ODIs which will be captained by Shikhar Dhawan and feature a number of fringe players looking to make an impression on the Indian team.

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was a surprise inclusion in the squad, having been recalled to the T20I team after missing the series against South Africa and England. KL Rahul and left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav were also named to the squad.

Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Yuzvendra Chahal are among the notable absentees for the five T20Is, which will take place in the Caribbean and the United States.
