Virat Kohli is showing his mettle once again in the third T20I match against Australia in the ongoing series. After being bowled out by Adam Zampa in the last match for a mere 11, the former India skipper has bounced back in spectacular fashion. He hit a massive six off Zampa in the ninth over of the Indian innings.

Kohli has been having some problems facing Zampa despite being the highest run-getter against the Aussies in the shortest format of the game. The 30-year-old legspinner has till date managed to get the wicket of Kohli on three different occasions in T20Is.

Suryakumar Yadav has also been spectacular during India’s run-chase against the Aussies in the third T20I. He scored two consecutive sixes off Zampa in the thirteenth over of the Indian innings and also scored a half-century in less than 30 balls. Kumar, who is fondly called Sky by his teammates, scored 69 runs in the match with a strike rate of 191.67 before being caught by Finch off a Josh Hazelwood delivery.

The Indian openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma did not manage to put up impressive performances while chasing the 186 runs put up by the Aaron Finch-led side. While Rahul, who has been suffering from a lack of form in the shortest format of the game since Asia Cup 2022, scored just a single run in the match, Sharma, the Indian skipper, added 17 runs to India’s total.
