Fifties from Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav helped the Mumbai Indians register a crucial five-wicket victory over the Delhi Capitals in their top-of-the-table clash at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Sunday.

Earlier, Krunal Pandya starred with the ball as his 2/26 spell helped the Mumbai Indians restrict the Delhi Capitals to a modest 162/4 from 20 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan (69* from 52) and skipper Shreyas Iyer (42 from 33) stabilised the innings for Delhi after they lost Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane in the powerplay overs.

Delhi’s Kagiso Rabada added two wickets to his 15 scalps so far to extend his lead at the top of the wicket taking charts. Jaspit Bumrah, went wicketless and remains second with 11 wickets.

The win lifts Mumbai to the summit of the points table, with 10 points from seven games.
