The Lucknow Super Giants swapped Karan Sharma with Ravi Bishnoi in the playing 11 as they lock horns with the Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday. 

RR skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bat first.

Announcing his decision, Samson said that the team needs to keep a balanced state of mind to see the key top-four clash through. Jimmy Neesham, McCoy Rassie and Kuldeep Sen have been brought into the playing 11 for Rajasthan. 

“We are batting first. That’s been our strenght. Couple of changes – Neesham and McCoy Rassie and Sen. Feel that’s the best combination for this game. It’s important to keep a balanced state of mind,” Samson said at the toss.

LSG, who are coming to the game after a disappointing show against the Gujarat Titans need to learn from mistakes, as per skipper KL Rahul. He announced that Bishnoi comes in for Karan Sharma. 

“I wanted to bowl first. Looks like a nice wicket. You don’t want to run away from it, you want to learn from mistakes like that. We need to turn up every game, we had that chat and everyone agreed that a game like that can happen. Karan Sharma misses out, Ravi Bishnoi comes back in,” Rahul said at the toss.

The Lucknow Super Giants are placed on the second rung of the IPL 2022 points table with eight wins and four losses. Rajasthan, on the other hand, are third with seven wins and five defeats.
