SunRisers Hyderabad will be taking on Gujarat Titans on Monday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and will seek redemption on the points table. The Titans, on the other hand, can afford to be laid back as the only unbeaten team in the Indian Premier League so far. The squad’s expectations have been tied to Titan’s Shubman Gill after his innings- saving performance against Punjab Kings.

Gujarat Titans, captained by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, has shown resilience and consistency in the three matches it has played so far. The win against Punjab Kings last week showed that the team has the ability to rise from its own ashes.

Gujarat Titans have found different match-winners in every game while Sunrisers Hyderabad, which got off to a strong start, has been shaky ever since.

All eyes will be on Gujarat Titans’ Shubhman Gill, who has shown that he is in prime form, posting his highest Indian Premier League score against Punjab Kings. Matthew Wade and Sai Sudarshan are expected to be the backups needed by Gill, to fill in the gaps with big shots and boost the total.

SunRisers Hyderabad, however, will not shy away from using their powerful bowling attack to disrupt the opposite team’s balance. Hardik Pandya’s team may struggle with Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s expertise in death overs, the raw pace of Umran Malik, the yorkers of T Natarajan and classical off-breaks of Washington Sundar.

SunRisers Hyderabad, captained by Kane Williamson, is currently seeded at eighth position on the points table with just two points and a net run rate of -0.889.

Unbeaten Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, has been one of the top contenders so far and managed to secure six points and a net run rate of +0.349. Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders currently hold the top spot on the points table.
