Gujarat first defeated the Lucknow Super Giants in their season opener before securing wins over the Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings. 

Kane Williamson’s SRH had suffered two losses, against the Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants, before winning their first game vs Chennai Super Kings.
