Former Barcelona football player Gerard Pique on Wednesday posted a picture with his rumoured girlfriend Clara Chia Marti on Instagram. This comes months after his split from Columbian singer Shakira, who dissed him with her latest song.

In the picture, Pique can be seen snuggling up to Marti. The 35-year-old did not caption the post.

Shakira and Pique announced their breakup in June, 2022. The two have two children together: Sasha Piqué Mebarak and Milan Piqué Mebarak – but never got married.

“We regret to confirm that we are separating,” they said at the time.

“We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect.”

Pique and Shakira announced their relationship in March 2011. They met on the set of ‘Waka Waka’, the official song of 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Columbian singer, months after their breakup, released a new song “BZRP Music Session #53” dissing him and Marti.

“Sorry baby, I should have thrown you out a while ago / A she-wolf like me is not for rookies / A she-wolf like me is not for guys like you,” she sang in part. “I’m too good for you, and that’s why you’re with someone just like you.”

“You left me my mother-in-law as my neighbor / Media outlets at my door and in debt with the government,” sang the musician. “You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger / Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in.”
